ZIM Plug-in and AZXTA Framework Press Note - Feb 2004

Zudha simplifies JXTA Java Collaborative P2P software development
(PRWEB) February 11, 2004--In a bid to make it easy for ISVs to develop collaborative or peer-to-peer JXTA-J2SE Project JXTA applications Zudha announced the availability of plug-in framework for ZIM-Pro, what they claim to be a Serverless Instant messenger available at http://zimpro.zudha.com

"We are excited about the possibilities a Java Plug-in developer can bring into this otherwise plain vanilla Serverless IM called ZIM-Pro!! The plug-in may be a game or even a full featured business collaboration application or God (and you) knows what else it could be!!" proclaimed, the representative at Zudha.

"We have provided a simple to use API for plugin development in the recent version release of the software which will be visible as "Add-Ons" in the Menu. There is a sample plug-in included to demonstrate how it works.

We are convinced from our own experience that developing with JXTA technology, which is used as the platform to develop ZIM-Pro, has a steep learning curve and is not very easy in terms of developer understanding the flow of the JXTA API. To bring benefits of our learning experience to fellow developers and to weave a developer community surrounding ZIM-Pro which would further boost its adoption, we have taken this big step as a commitment to ZIM-Pro user community and to support Java developers." she added.

ZIM-Pro is made available for download from ZIM-Pro Product Site

Zudha is also considering requests from developers who are not using Java to provide a C/C++ alternative of ZIM-Pro to expand its support to multiple developer communities and user groups.

The company is working on a developer specific API codenamed AZXTA for Java developers to easily develop JXTA collaborative software from scratch that conceals all the intricate learning otherwise needed for using the JXTA API. AZXTA API could be already available even as this news goes to print.
